Fred and Ginger Mick are great mates, and often go out walking together, just like any good friends. Fred has lots of enthusiasm, Mick has finesse……not a bad combination. Of course, cats generally outsmart dogs…. but Fred accepts his lot.

.I took time out to visit a local rock formation to get the late afternoon sun on the stones, and Fred obliged me by posing.

We both agreed that he’s a very handsome chap.

Dog goes fishing

My terrier Fred loves fish to eat, in fact, he seems to like fish even more than the cats do! Down at the river, he’s quite happy to put his head under the water if he thinks there could be a fish about. Yabbies are a welcome addition also. The temperature of the water in the river is icy cold, as it’s spring fed so I reckon Fred is one tough little chap. Or maybe he reckons the effort is well worth it. Yes, he is successful at times, but doesn’t share the spoils with me.

Then it’s time to have a shake…..and tell the story about the one that got away……

Ginger Mick is the best tree climber I’ve ever seen. I think he learned it when a tiny homeless kitten trying to escape from attackers. Now he’s no longer needing to escape, but still enjoys a good tree climb, especially when the wind is blowing….
